SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies. Low: 62. Wind: Southeast 3-6 MPH.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies. Highest score: 87.

After a dry and warm day for most but a few thunderstorms at the end of the week, we will keep the dry weather in the forecast and continue throughout the day on Saturday.

Expect some dense fog early in the morning as it will be slightly wetter as you wake up early Saturday morning, but expect this dense fog to give way to sunshine as we approach the afternoon. Temperatures will rise to the low 80s by Saturday afternoon.

An air quality advisory is in effect for most of the Detroit metro area as we travel all day Saturday. As the region experiences increasing humidity and a light wind, our air quality will go into the orange zone, which is unhealthy for sensitive groups. When air quality reaches this range, it is recommended to avoid strenuous outdoor activities if possible, especially for people with respiratory diseases such as asthma.

Looking towards the end of the weekend on Sunday we will have a cold front moving through the region and with the moisture still present we cannot rule out the possibility of some showers and thunderstorms like we had from Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. High temperatures will reach the mid 80s by Sunday afternoon.

At the start of next week, dry weather returns on Monday. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds throughout the day. Temperatures still feel like summer, we will be heading towards the upper 80s on Monday afternoon.

Our next chance for showers and thunderstorms will roll into the region on Tuesday and Wednesday. The high will move into the mid 80s Tuesday afternoon and then fall into the lower 80s by Wednesday.

Cooler changes will move into the region towards the end of the week. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds on Thursday, with more sunshine than anything else on Friday. High temperatures will fall to the mid 70s on Thursday and fall to the low 70s on Friday by the end of the week.
