Ohio man found naked in stranger’s home and arrested for burglary and theft

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) – On Wednesday, May 8, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence on Sparling Road, Waterford Township after the homeowner found a weed eater and a chainsaw on his property that didn’t belong to him.

According to officials, Deputy Tucker found the mysterious items and was on his way to secure them at the sheriff’s office when he was dispatched to Newsad Road, about 0.2 miles away.


It was reported that a man unknown to the resident had entered the home and was naked.

When Deputy Tucker, assisted by Sgt. Parks, entered the home and the man, later identified as Thomas Nicholson, was found in the bathroom.

Officials said Nicholson told officers he couldn’t remember how he got there and he didn’t know why he was naked; When asked if he had recently stolen the items found, he denied taking the chainsaw and weed eater.

However, the Newsad Road homeowner told officers that they heard a weed eater going off outside shortly after he came into contact with Nicholson.

Officials said the homeowners were able to identify the items found as belonging to a family member.

Nicholson was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail where he was charged with burglary and theft.
