Brutal belt attack

NYPD releases suspicious photos…

Allegedly strangled woman

Police have now identified a suspect in the horrific attack that sent a woman to hospital after she was strangled with an outstretched belt in public… and they have released images to help find him.

The NYPD has shared photos captured from security cameras of the man they believe is responsible for this crime…who appears to be wearing a similar outfit to the one in the original video – with a durag on his head, matching the white bandana the attacker used , comes very close to cover his face.

In the images, the suspect is wearing a GAP sweater and white sweatpants. According to police, he is about 1.75 meters tall and was carrying a backpack… just like the attacker in the video.

As we reported…according to police, the attack occurred around 3 a.m. last week in the Bronx. The video shows a man sneaking up on the woman throwing a belt over her head and dragged her between two cars, where police allege he sexually assaulted her.

Police responded to the scene and the woman was transported to the hospital. She survived the terrible ordeal. By the way, our law enforcement agencies say this woman was raped.

Police ask anyone with information to call the tip line at 1-800-577-TIPS.
