Arthur Madrid and Mark Montejano charged with accident during police chase on Whitendale Avenue near Crenshaw Street

VISALIA, CA (July 29, 2024) — Arthur Madrid And Mark Montejano were arrested following an accident during a police chase on Whitedale Avenue near Crenshaw Street.

According to Visalia police, the chase occurred on July 25 at around 2:40 p.m. When officers spotted 40-year-old Arthur Madrid, who had several warrants for his arrest, they noticed him leaving the scene before crashing his car on Whitendale Avenue.

He and his 36-year-old passenger, Mark Montejano, reportedly exited the vehicle and fled to a neighborhood between Whitendale Avenue and Parkwood Street. However, police set up a perimeter and found the suspects hiding in a back yard.

Authorities took Montejano and Madrid to the Tulare County Adult Detention Center. Montejano was charged with resisting arrest, and Madrid has multiple warrants, mail theft and identity theft.
