Several people killed in traffic accident on busy highway in New Jersey, police said

Several people were killed in a traffic accident on Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township on Friday evening, police said.

Egg Harbor Police Captain Cherie Burgan told NJ Advance Media she had no further details about the accident as of 10:40 p.m.

Burgan said the busy highway, which runs through several Atlantic County towns, was closed in both directions while police investigated the fatal crash.
