Donald Trump says ‘corrupt’ Joe Biden is ‘unfit for office’; son attacks Kamala Harris

Washington: Former President Donald Trump on Sunday responded to Joe Biden’s withdrawal from his re-election campaign, claiming the incumbent president was “certainly not fit for office.”

Biden announced his withdrawal from the race to become the next president after increasing pressure from Democrats following his poor performance in the debate against Republican candidate Trump last month.

Biden has endorsed current Vice President Kamala Harris as the new Democratic candidate.

“The fraudulent Joe Biden was not fit to run for president and is certainly not fit to hold the office – and never was! He only got the office of president through lies, fake news and by not leaving his basement.

“Everyone around him, including his doctor and the media, knew he was unfit to be president, and he was not,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Trump, 78, added: “We will suffer greatly under his presidency, but we will repair the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

In a telephone conversation with CNN Minutes after 81-year-old Biden announced his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, Trump described Biden as “by far the worst president in the history of our country.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. also attacked Kamala Harris as “even more liberal and less competent” than Biden.

Donald Trump Jr. attacked Vice President Harris, who supported President Biden for the Democratic nomination after his resignation, calling her “even more liberal and less competent” than Biden.

“Kamala Harris has the entire left-wing political record of Joe Biden. The only difference is that she is even more liberal and less competent than Joe, which is really saying something. She was put in charge of policing the border and we experienced the worst invasion of illegals in our history!!!” Trump Jr. said.

Former President Donald Trump said CNN He had previously stated that he believes Harris will be easier to defeat than Biden in the presidential election on November 5.
