Seven dead in building fire in Nice, France: Firefighters

Seven people were killed in a fire that broke out overnight in a residential building in a working-class district of the southern French city of Nice, firefighters said early Thursday.

Rescue workers were notified of the fire in Les Moulins at around 2:30 a.m. (0030 GMT), the cause of which is still unknown. Despite the extensive response, “seven people have unfortunately died in this fire,” rescue workers said.
