New Britain Township Police want to tell drivers: If you want to have a bright future, you must wear sunglasses.

Police have reminded motorists that the bright, sunny days are now in full swing, but that this also means the sun can be blinding while driving.

According to the police, the glare from the sun is strongest in the morning and evening hours.

“Drivers should wear sunglasses to reduce eye strain; use the sun visor to avoid glare and better concentrate on the road; keep interior and exterior windows clean; and drive slower when there is glare in order to be able to react more quickly to unforeseen events,” a police press release said.

According to police, taking the time to physically and mentally prepare for the sun’s glare can help you avoid an accident and save your life.
