Elderly man killed in UTV accident on Ettrick farm

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday that an elderly man was found after he failed to return home from a drive through the property. The man was found unconscious and trapped under a UTV at W27201 Francis Lane in the Town of Ettrick.

According to the sheriff’s office, the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to an initial investigation, the UTV overturned and the man was attacked while driving through a field.

The identity of the deceased had not been released to the sheriff’s office as of Wednesday morning. In a press release, the sheriff’s office said the name would not be released until the family had been notified.

Both the Ettrick Fire Department and Ettrick First Responders assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the accident.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources assisted the Sheriff’s Office in the investigation, which is now complete.
