After a fire incident west of Hayden, traffic on US Highway 40 was reopened in one lane

US Highway 40 west of Hayden was closed in both directions late Tuesday afternoon due to fires.

The incident occurred one mile west of Hayden between the Hayden rest area and Jefferson Avenue at mile marker 105. The road was closed shortly before 6 p.m.

Information published on COTrip.org said that from 6:27 p.m. a changing traffic pattern would be observed

Colorado State Police said they responded to the scene and that the fire was in a garage.
