Police seek suspects after vandalism at church in Wiggins

WIGGINS, Mississippi (WLOX) – Officials are searching for suspects following the vandalism of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Hall Street in Wiggins, Police Chief Jeff Thomas said Sunday.

According to Thomas, the vandalism was discovered on Sunday morning by church members who came to the building for morning worship. Unknown perpetrators wrote graffiti on the walls throughout the building and also attempted to set it on fire.

The investigation is ongoing and Wiggins Police are receiving assistance from the State Fire Marshall Office. ATF, MBI and FBI have also been contacted.
