A toddler lost an arm when he was hit by a falling branch in Cheltenham

According to the Cheltenham Township Police Department, a two-year-old boy lost an arm when he was hit by a falling branch while playing in the driveway.

According to police, the toddler was playing with a group of children in the 7900 block of Chandler Road in the Glenside neighborhood around 6 p.m. on Saturday when the branch broke loose, fell 50 feet and fell on the child.

According to police, the child was flown to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Preliminary investigations indicate the incident appears to be an accident, police said. However, Cheltenham detectives said the investigation was ongoing and asked the public for help.
