With a win or a draw on Sunday against Los Angeles FCTHE Houston Dynamo will match their longest unbeaten run in MLS at Shell Energy Stadium from last season (six matches).

Orange Crush lost 3-2 to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday, their first defeat since May, while LAFC took sole possession of first place in the Western Conference with a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles Galaxy.

We say: Houston Dynamo 1-2 Los Angeles FC

When you’re in the same situation as LAFC, everything seems to be going your way and we think their momentum will propel them to another narrow triumph.

Two disappointing MLS Western Conference teams will face off at Children’s Mercy Park on Sunday Sporting Kansas City host Dallas.

On Thursday, SKC was beaten 2-1 by Colorado Rapidswhile an own goal three minutes from the 90th minute allowed the Toros to win 3-2 over the Portland Wood.

We say: Sporting Kansas City 2-0 Dallas

As poor as KC’s defenses have been this season, the Toros have been equally poor at the back and in the attacking third away from home, so we’re predicting a lucky break for the home team.

Earthquakes in San Jose will be looking for their first win since May 12 when they face Chicago Fire at PayPal Park on Sunday.

Having lost each of the last three meetings between the two sides, the Men in Red will go into this game looking to get the better of the hosts and claim their second away win of the season.

We say: San Jose Earthquakes 1-2 Chicago Fire

The Chicago Fire will be licking their chops as they take on a struggling San Jose Earthquakes team, who have picked up just one point in their last nine league games. After a hard-fought win over Philadelphia, we think the Men in Red will take home all three points at PayPal Park.

Colorado Rapids head coach Chris Armas on May 16, 2024© Reuters

Looking to secure their first MLS away win of the campaign, City of Saint-Louis travel to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to face the Colorado Rapids on Monday morning.

The Rapids are undefeated in their last five home games, including three wins in their last three outings, and will head into the match looking to extend that impressive streak.

We say: Colorado Rapids 2-0 St Louis City

Given their current home form, Colorado Rapids will have plenty to cheer against a St Louis side who have struggled for results away from home. We expect Armas’ men to pick up where they left off against Kansas City and secure another win in front of their home fans.

Days after a disappointing loss to their biggest rivals, the Los Angeles Galaxy return to Dignity Health Sports Park to face Minnesota United on Sunday.

Earlier this week, the Galaxy fell to third place in the MLS Western Conference with a 2-1 loss to Los Angeles FC, while the Loons were beaten 3-1 by the Vancouver Whitecaps.

We say: Los Angeles Galaxy 3-0 Minnesota United

Given the Loons’ defensive struggles and the fact that they’re down to their third goalie, a talented group like the Galaxy should be able to find their share of openings and make them count on Sunday.

For only the third time in the club’s history, Nashville SC will travel to Providence Park to face the Portland Timbers in MLS action on Sunday.

Earlier this week, the Timbers suffered a 3-2 loss to Dallas, while the Boys in Gold were beaten 2-0 by the Columbus Crew.

We say: Portland Timbers 2-0 Nashville SC

The Timbers aren’t a solid defensive unit by any stretch, but Nashville doesn’t have a quality chance creator to trouble them, so we expect Portland’s aggressive approach to eventually lead to goals.
