GBI arrests teenager in connection with Georgia shooting investigation

CUTHBERT – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested a 16-year-old in connection with the investigation into a shooting of a male teenager.

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the GBI and Cuthbert Police arrested a 16-year-old from Cuthbert, GA and charged him with aggravated assault. The arrest is in connection with a shooting that occurred in Cuthbert, GA.

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the Cuthbert Police Department requested the GBI’s assistance in the investigation of a shooting on Oak Street, Cuthbert, GA, where a 16-year-old male was found shot to death. The victim was transported to Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, GA, where his injuries were treated.

The 16-year-old was taken to a Regional Youth Detention Center in Columbus, Georgia.
