Media Bypass southbound closed due to serious accident

Upper Providence Police are reporting police and fire operations on the southbound Media Bypass between State Road and Route 252.

The entire route will be closed for some time. Please avoid the area.

The Media Bypass to the north remains open.

Shortly before 8 a.m., a report was sent out of an accident involving a garbage truck and a delivery truck with fatal injuries. The coroner’s office was called to the scene.

Arriving rescue workers reported a total loss. Several ambulances were called to the scene of the accident.
