Normani had a “really bad accident” and had to miss the BET Awards

Normani missed the BET Awards on Sunday (30.06.24) after suffering a “serious” injury during rehearsals.
The 28-year-old former Fifth Harmony star shared on social media how “frustrated” she was to miss the party at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles after doctors told her to rest.
In her Instagram story, she wrote: “I am more frustrated and disappointed than anyone else, believe me.
“I wanted to stop by and give you an update, which is that I had a really bad accident during rehearsals for BET and I injured myself. I’m usually good at pulling through under any circumstances, but unfortunately, due to my doctor’s orders, I’m unable to make this performance.”
Her knee was wrapped in a bandage and in a photo shared on the app she was walking with crutches.
She said, “I really wanted to give you my best on stage, but performing would delay my healing.”
She concluded by saying, “Trust me, I hear you and I see you.
“I wanted nothing more than to perform for you and to return to what I enjoy most – being on stage. Thank you for your understanding…”
It was supposed to be her first live performance since the release of her debut solo album “Dopamine” on June 14th.
