Man dead after motorcycle accident in Huber Heights

The motorcyclist who died in a traffic accident in the 8100 block of Bellefontaine Road in Huber Heights on Thursday evening was a 48-year-old man, according to police.

The name of the driver, who was not wearing a helmet, will not be released until family can be notified, Sergeant Josh Fosnight told News Center 7.

Huber Heights police were called to the address on Bellefontaine Road near The Party Barn at around 6:55 p.m., according to the Huber Heights Police dispatch center. According to radio transmissions, the Harley Davidson was found in the grass across from the venue and police closed the road for the investigation, which is being continued by the police department’s accident reconstruction team.

When officers arrived on the scene along with paramedics from Huber Heights, they found the motorcyclist dead, the police department said in a statement. He was taken to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

There is currently no suspicion of drug or alcohol abuse, the sergeant said.
