Pedestrian killed in Oklahoma City accident Monday night

A person was struck and killed by a car late Monday night in Oklahoma City. It happened around 11:30 p.m. near Northwest 39th Expressway and Meridian. Oklahoma City police said the victim was sitting on the curb and stood up and walked in front of a car. Police said the victim was taken to a hospital where he later died of his injuries. They added that the people in the car that struck the person remained at the scene of the accident and have been cooperating with investigators. It is not clear at this time if the driver will face charges.
