  • Comedian Chris Porter at Houston Improv | from Thursday to Saturday – The Kansas City comedian brings his chops to the Bayou City for three nights of laughs. Best known for his appearance on NBC’s Top 3 Last comic standinghis one-hour special Ugly and angry was one of Netflix’s highest-rated specials. $40 and up. Hours vary.
  • DNVRMX Presents Everything’s Bigger Pride at Multiple Locations | from Thursday to Sunday – Kick off Pride Weekend with a four-night series of events taking place at venues around Houston, featuring DJ jams from the decks, themed dress up parties, drinks and more. $25 and up. Hours vary.

  • Free RNDC Wine Tasting at Montrose Cheese & Wine | FREE – Westheimer Wine and Cheese Boutique welcomes RNDC to share its portfolio of imported wines during a free tasting. 5 p.m.
  • Houston Rockets 2024 NBA Draft Experience at the George R. Brown Convention Center – Join the Rockets for their in-person party at NBA Draft Night as they look to make decisions regarding the No. 3 pick. Broadcasters from Space City Home Network will be in attendance, along with Clutch the Bear, dancers and more Moreover. Head to life-size basketball courts and have family fun with balloon artists, face painters, inflatables and much more. Free, but tickets must be reserved in advance; A $3 processing fee applies. 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • An evening with James Van Der Beek and screening of Varsity Blues at House of Blues – THE Dawson Creek The heartthrob comes to Houston for an evening of conversation and a screening of the coming-of-age sports film, College Blues. $45 and up. 6 p.m.
  • Brewery Bingo with Eureka Heights at Memorial Park – Play casual games of bingo with delicious Eureka Heights beers at Rally Pavilion in Memorial Park. You’ll play six rounds and enjoy free beers while competing for special prizes. $15. 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Rock the Fashion Show at Warehouse Live Midtown – Pride Houston 365 returns to the catwalk with a celebration of high-quality styles, the latest fashions in women’s evening wear, and plenty of fashion-forward statements from LGBTQIA+ designers. $10 in advance; VIP options available. 7 p.m.
  • R&Beach concert: Doug E. Fresh, Donell Jones and Case at Lagoonfest Texas – The aquamarine waters of the Texas City Lagoon host a beachfront concert featuring R&B greats like Doug E. Fresh, along with Donell Jones and Case. $45 and up. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Slide Bingo at Eureka Heights Brewery | No coverage – Miss Gay Southwest America, Dessie Love-Blake is hosting this evening of Pride Month entertainment and awards at the Heights Brewery. The game is free, so come and enjoy an evening with friends. 7 p.m.
  • Neon Foam Party at Post Houston – Downtown Skylawn is the setting for this epic summer jam, complete with family-friendly music, neon lights and foam machines. Grab a bite and a drink from one of the Post’s vendors, then head upstairs to dance the night away under the Houston skyline. $5. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Concert under the stars: tribute to Selena at the Marriott Marquis Houston – The hotel’s rooftop pool terrace is the ideal venue for this evening of music by Cristina Amaro and the CTS Band. They’ll play the Tejano legend’s hits while you dance the night away and enjoy bites and drinks. $35 and up. 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Actress Corrine Fisher at the Secret Group – The comedian, screenwriter, director and actress caused a sensation on the comedy scene with her first one-woman show Corinne Fisher: I’m stalking you in 2010, and has been a force ever since. She was seen and heard on The Joe Rogan Experience, Where are my mothers?, Brilliant idiots and more. $25 and up. 8 p.m.
  • The Beyhive in Noto Houston – East End nightclub is hosting an evening of Beyoncé hits, unique to H-Town. You’ll enjoy its legendary tunes in an elegant, upscale setting with superior service and a 21-and-over ambiance. $60 and up. 10 p.m.

  • Cocktail classes at Galveston Distilling Co. – Mix, shake and stir delicious craft cocktails during this hands-on island class. All levels of mixologists are welcome, from beginners to veterans. It’s a chance to make new friends and learn more about the artistry behind cocktail making. $40. 6 p.m.
  • Rainbow on the green at Discovery Green | FREE – Show your pride and that love is love during this annual family celebration. The downtown park hosts an evening of performances from Z’maji Glamoratti & the Lone Star Discoteq, DJ Hiram, drag queens and more. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Music on the Square: Prince at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Grab your raspberry beret and come out and perform to all your favorite Prince hits at this electrifying concert that will have you partying like it’s 1999. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Actress Roxxy Haze at Secret Group – The comedian navigates the ups and downs of life with personal anecdotes about family, relationships and the absurdities of existence. Come laugh with her as she returns to her hometown. $15 and up. 8 p.m.
  • Eden Girl+ evening at Warehouse Live – Pride Houston 365 is bringing back its popular Girl+ Night, dedicated to strong women in the city’s LGBT+ community. Male and non-binary friends are also welcome. $10 and up. 9 p.m.
  • Million Dollar Red in concert at the Continental Club – Come to Midtown to discover this group which brings a modern grain to the blues, rock and psychedelic music of Texas. THE Beaumont Company called their shows “heavy, moving and exciting”. $10 and up. 9 p.m.
  • Lady Faith DJ Set at Stereo Live – A top hardstyle DJ and producer is coming to Houston for a live performance. Las Vegas Weekly praised her for “her (overwhelming) expectations and her acoustic barriers with her enormous sound”. $19.99. 10 p.m.

Saturday June 29, 2024

  • 46th Houston Pride Celebration Festival and Parade at Houston City Hall – This all-day festival features live performances from K. Michelle, David Archuleta, Kayla G and Brooke Eden. The evening parade travels through the streets of downtown and is free. Festival passes cost $5. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Craft & Connect Workshop: Cocktail Masterclass at TX/RX Labs – Get basic tips, tools and techniques for making cocktails at home. After you’ve had fun, TX/RX Labs will guide you in making your own roller coaster using a laser cutter. $25. 1 p.m.
  • Sunset & Sounds: summer concert series with Robert Kuhn at the Lucine Hotel | No coverage – The Galveston singer-songwriter headlines a night at the island’s new boutique hotel, performing on the rooftop bar overlooking the beach. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Southern Smoke Foundation presents Respect the Rosé: Run for the Rosés at Brennan’s in Houston – The chefs will collaborate for a multi-course extravaganza made even better by a selection of rosés and other first-class wines at Brennan’s of Houston. The event raises funds for the organization, which helps hospitality workers in crisis. $500 per person. 6:30 p.m.
  • Actress Liz Miele at Secret Group – With appearances on Comedy Central, Hulu and NPR Wait, wait, don’t tell me, Liz Miele takes the mic for an evening headlining new music in EaDo. $25 and up. 7 p.m.
  • Mala Disco Pride at Bar Bohème | No coverage – Celebrate the closing weekend of Pride Month with disco tunes played by live DJs at this Montrose bar. Dance the night away and enjoy drinks to your heart’s content. 8 p.m.
  • Hollywood rhapsody at the Miller Outdoor Theater | FREE – The Texas Medical Center Orchestra kicks off its 25th season with this performance, featuring classic film tunes including the Gershwin Overture Crazy girl, An American in ParisAnd Rhapsody in Blue. The evening also includes Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 (New World Symphony), and much more. 8:30 p.m.
  • Glitterball: Official Houston Pride Afterparty at Warehouse Live Midtown – The official Houston Pride Parade afterparty brings revelers to Midtown for a rooftop party with DJs Kitty Glitter and Drew G. $20 and up. 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Electric Foam: Hawaiian Nights at Stereo Live – Break out your Hawaiian shirts and necklaces for this aloha-themed party at the Galleria area club. You’ll dance the night away and the first 300 people through the doors will receive LED light necklaces. $10. 10 p.m.

Sunday June 30, 2024

  • Soberfest at White Oak Music Hall – This music festival celebrates those who have taken the necessary steps to live a healthier lifestyle, free of alcohol and drugs. Spend the day with like-minded Houstonians looking to socialize in a healthy, fun, and creative environment. $25. 10am.
  • Sad Girl Sunday Concert at Dan Electro – Look for performances from Kay Weathers, Sorry Sarah and Hate Mail in this afternoon of girl power. Expect a variety of genres including electro pop, indie rock, screamo and post-hardcore. $10. 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • The Doobie Brothers in concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – The 1970s rock band, known for hits like “Listen to the Music,” “What a Fool Believes” and “Takin’ It to the Streets,” makes a stop at The Woodlands, with the Robert Cray Band in first part. $35 and up. 7 p.m.
  • José Madero in concert at House of Blues – The Mexican rock singer-songwriter, known for songs like “Día de Mayo,” “Lamentable” and “De mí, de mí, de mí,” is coming to Houston as part of his En Directo tour. His sound mixes rock, pop and folk influences. $55 and up. 7 p.m.
