Shooting on College Avenue in Atlanta, police search for suspect

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are asking residents to avoid the area as they search for a possible suspect after a man was shot to death Friday outside a salon in the Oakhurst neighborhood.

It happened in front of the BB Salon on College Avenue. Police said a 32-year-old man was shot and taken to the hospital.

Authorities added that the man who was shot was “alert, conscious and breathing.”

Atlanta police added that the injured person may have been involved in a shootout with a suspect.
