Mishawaka man shot in the neck at his home in Pin Oak Manor Apartments

MISHAWAKA – Mishawaka police continue to investigate the case of a 20-year-old man who was shot in the neck at Pin Oak Manor Apartments.

Police responded to a shooting call at the victim’s residence around 8:45 p.m. on June 18 and reported that he was conscious and alert. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The apartment complex is located across McKinley Avenue from Bethel University, near the Mishawaka Bureau of Motor Vehicles branch.

Mishawaka police said this appears to be an isolated incident and does not pose a threat to the public.

On June 20, Mishawaka police said there was no update and the incident remained under investigation.
