New Delhi (India), June 18 (ANI): The Rohini Court in Delhi has sentenced a man to 12 years in prison for kidnapping and raping his minor niece.

The court also imposed a total fine of Rs 65,000 for all the offences.

The court awarded compensation of Rs 1,050,000 to the victim, a 24-year-old married woman with three children.

The court stated: “The victim was the victim of a serious sexual assault with penetration as well as psychological and physical trauma. As a result of the incident, not only the victim but also her entire family was humiliated and insulted by society. The incident had a serious impact on her psychological, physical and emotional well-being for which she requires financial support.”
