Mother and daughter arrested on drug charges near Cedar City

(Cedar City, UT) — A mother and daughter are facing drug charges following a traffic stop near Cedar City late last week. A Utah Highway Patrol trooper stopped Emily and Cheri Carbaugh on I-15 for a broken tail light. The trooper allegedly discovered drug paraphernalia in the car, and further searches found suspected meth, Suboxone and fentanyl, according to authorities. Both suspects were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to resell and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
