TONIGHT IN SAINT CLOUD A COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO HELP A MOTHER AND HER CHILDREN AFTER THEIR FATHER WAS KILLED. 29-YEAR-OLD JOSHUA MILLER WAS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY SHOOTING AND KILLING 29-YEAR-OLD JOSEPH BECK WESH 2. WE GOT MARRIED ON NOVEMBER 2ND, 2014 AND SEPARATED WHEN WE WERE LATE 18, EARLY 2019. HE WAS VERY FUNNY. AND YOU KNOW, HE LOVED THE KIDS VERY MUCH. HE WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR ANYONE. THE OSCEOLA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS BECK WAS IN THE DRIVER’S SEAT OF HIS CAR WHEN JOSHUA MILLER CAME UP TO HIM WITH A GUN AND PISTOL, TAKEN HIM OUT AND SHOT HIM OVER A POOL PUMP. THEY ALSO SAY MILLER HAS BEEN PLANNING THE MURDER SINCE THEN. THE SHERIFF SAID MILLER WENT INTO A WOODED AREA. HE WAS FOUND AND ARRESTED THE NEXT DAY, AND HARRELL SAID BECK AND MILLER WERE FRIENDS, WHICH MADE AN ALREADY DIFFICULT SITUATION MORE COMPLICATED AND TOTALLY POINTLESS. YOU KNOW, THERE WAS NO THOUGHT. IT WAS ALL JUST A REACTION TO EMOTIONS. IRELAND JUST CRIED AND SAID, SO WHAT ARE WE EVEN GOING TO DO FOR FATHER’S DAY? I TOLD HER WE WOULD, UM, SEND A BALLOON TO THE SKY FOR YOU AND YOU WOULD WRITE A NOTE. AND SHE ACTUALLY WROTE A NOTE THIS MORNING. IT WAS, REALLY, REALLY SAD. IT SAID IN THE GREATEST SENSE, I HOPE YOU COME BACK AND I WILL MISS YOU EVERY DAY AND I LOVE YOU AND I WILL TALK TO YOU EVERY DAY IN HEAVEN. AS BECK’S FAMILY PROCESSES HIS DEATH, THEY ARE RAISING MONEY FOR HIS FUNERAL SERVICE AND CREMATION. THEY HAVE A GOFUNDME PROGRAM AND ON FRIDAY THEY HAD A CAR WASH AND SOLD BAKED GOODS. A community is coming together for a mother and her children after their father was killed in St. Cloud. Brittany Harrell is devastated that Joseph Beck’s children will have to spend Father’s Day without him. Beck was shot and killed in his driveway on June 8. According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Beck was in the driver’s seat of his car when 29-year-old Joshua Miller approached him with a gun, pistol-whipped him and shot him over a pool pump. They also said Miller confessed to the murder. Beck leaves behind four children. Three of them, 9-year-old Irelynn, 6-year-old Conor and 5-year-old Kingston, are Harrell’s children. “We got married on November 2, 2014 and separated in late 18, early 2019,” Harrell said. “He was very funny and loved the kids very much. He would do anything for anybody.” As Beck’s family comes to terms with his death, they are raising money for his funeral and cremation. They created a GoFundMe campaign and held a car wash and sold baked goods on Friday. They plan to hold another fundraiser at 9 a.m. Sunday in St. Cloud at 2251 13th Street.
