1 arrested and accused of intentionally setting fire to a house in north Omaha

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Omaha Fire Department investigators have arrested someone who they believe intentionally set fire to a north Omaha home Friday afternoon.

OFD reports that 6 news crews were called to a home near 46th and Camden Avenue just before 4:30 p.m. Fire was visible from the front of the home and a fire was reported. The fire was extinguished after a short time and no injuries were reported.

The investigation revealed that the resident of the house had deliberately set the fire. He was arrested for second-degree arson.

The damage is estimated at $20,000.
