A man with a criminal past in the Lakes Region is now facing charges in connection with a stabbing incident at a Branson bar.

Rauly Cancel-Ramos is facing charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action for stabbing a man at Crazy Craig’s Cheeky Monkey Bar in Branson on Saturday, June 1.

According to court documents published by the Branson Tri-Lakes News, a Taney County officer was dispatched to the bar on a stabbing charge. When the officer arrived, he found a victim with a six-inch cut on his left leg, deep enough to expose bone. Cancel-Ramos and the victim got into an altercation inside the bar and were escorted out of the establishment. Later, when both people were outside, Cancel-Ramos stabbed the victim in the leg. Cancel-Ramos was tracked down by officers, evaded custody at one point, but was then recaptured with the help of a Branson Police sniffer dog.

Cancel-Ramos also faces drug trafficking charges stemming from an incident in February. He is currently being held without bail in the Taney County Jail.
