Here’s how hot and humid it will be in Houston this week

It’s that time of year again where it’s buggy, muggy and HOT…welcome to June! Temperatures warm up this week to the mid 90s, but it will be much warmer. A ridge of high pressure developing across Southeast Texas brings dry weather, warmer temperatures and high humidity.

This high pressure system will help us warm up! Temperatures will be in the mid 90s. High temperatures tomorrow will be 93 to 95.

Not only will we see strong heat, but we will also have high humidity. The combination of high heat and humidity produces a triple-digit heat index! Tuesday will feel like we’re in the upper 90s to lower triple digits.

This will bring a major heat risk to the Houston area. As you head west, the risk will be extreme. 0

On Wednesday, the heat and humidity will be even HIGHER! It will look like 105+. At this time, a heat advisory may need to be issued.

The Climate Prediction Center shows Southeast Texas will be warmer than normal over the next two weeks. Keep in mind that we’re usually in the 90s this time of year.
