Lafayette County man arrested in Batesville for failure to register as sex offender – The Local Voice

On 14 May 2024, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department received an anonymous tip, Willie Shaw (25 years old, black male) A registered sex offender did not live at his registered address.

A compliance check was then conducted at Willie’s registered address and Willie was subsequently charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

On May 23, 2024, Willie was arrested in Batesville, Mississippi from Batesville Police Department then transported to Lafayette County Detention Center.

Willie later received bail of $25,000 from a Judge of the Lafayette County Justice Court.
