Car accident/fire in Hollister – KRZK 106.3

A vehicle catches fire after going off the road in Hollister Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Western Taney County Fire Protection District report, units were dispatched to the Highway 65/Business 65 interchange just after 2 p.m. When crews arrived on scene, they found the vehicle resting against a rock wall and engulfed in flames in the right-turn lane to enter southbound Highway 65. According to the release, the driver was pulled from the vehicle and treated by Taney County Ambulance paramedics. Her name and condition were not released.

Firefighters are putting out the car fire and a grass fire on the nearby bluff while Hollister police are on scene investigating the accident. The roadway was reopened to traffic around 3:15 a.m., according to the post.
