Buffalo man charged with rape, sexual misconduct against child

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An arrest was made Sunday in connection with the rape and sexual abuse of a child, Buffalo police said.

Antonio Vives, 19, was apprehended after a 911 call informing Southern District officers of sexual abuse. Police say several instances of abuse occurred on Bloomfield Avenue and the child was known to the suspect.

Vives was charged with the following:

• first degree rape
• first degree sexual conduct against a child
• first degree criminal sexual act
• first degree sexual abuse

The investigation is ongoing.
