Summer is here and it’s hot.

Luckily, Houston offers these tasty events to keep residents thirsty, well-fed and sane.

This June, you can unlock a culinary passport and celebrate the local AAPI community during Asian and Pacific Islander Restaurant Weeks; sip vintages at the 20th Anniversary Wine and Food Week at The Woodlands; and toast to 30 years of brewing at Houston’s oldest craft brewery.

  • Asian American and Pacific Islander Restaurant Weeks | Until Saturday June 15 – The fifth annual celebration of the culinary heritage of Houston’s AAPI communities continues at this citywide event. With a donation of $25 or more, people can unlock the AAPI Restaurant Week digital passport with a QR code to access special offers from more than 50 AAPI and AAPI-owned restaurants, Be More Pacific and Blood Bros. BBQ at Fung’s Kitchen and Kau Ba. . Prices and times vary.
  • 20th Anniversary Wine and Food Week at The Woodlands | From Monday June 3 to Sunday June 9 – Presented by HEB, Wine & Food Week celebrates its 20th anniversary with a week of gastronomic delights and culinary events. Highlights include Stretch, Sip & Savor and Wine Around the World Wednesday (both Wednesday), Get Frosted at Rosé Way (Thursday), Sip, Suds & Savor (Friday), the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase (Saturday ), and more. $35 and up. Hours vary.
  • Stage Table with Chef Chris Shepherd at Stages | Mondays June 3 and 10 Chef Chris Shepherd continues his exclusive series of intimate conversations, opening a dialogue with world-renowned chefs and exploring the hidden artistry and inspirations that shape the foods we love. This month we feature food journalist, best-selling author and YouTube personality Priya Krishna (June 3) and celebrity chef and Momofuku founder David Chang (June 10). $45 and up. 7:30 p.m.
  • Cocktails in bloom at Autry Park | Tuesday June 4 Buffalo Bayou Partnership invites people to its annual outdoor party with refreshing cocktails, local food bites and festive music at Autry Park. $100. 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Landry’s Houston Chef Series in Multiple Locations | Wednesdays, from June 5 to June 26 Landry’s Summer Dining Series is back, running select evenings through Aug. 7 and featuring menus inspired by the upcoming election and this year’s theme, “Presidential State Dinners.” This month’s participating restaurants include McCormick & Shmick’s (June 5), La Griglia (June 12), Grotto Ristorante (June 19) and Vic & Anthony’s (June 26). $125 and up. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • 30th Anniversary Party at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Saturday June 8 Texas’ oldest craft brewery is celebrating 30 years of brewing beer with an all-day birthday party. The festival will feature several renowned Bayou City musical artists collaborating for the first time, including Kam Franklin, Devin the Dude, Robert Ellis and Fat Tony, as well as food and drinks throughout the day, as well as commemorative glassware and related products. $15 and up. Limited parking passes are available for $20. 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • National Rosé Day Brunch at Brasserie 19 | Saturday June 8 – Rosé lovers are invited to sip and glow B19 style, with a brunch offering themed cocktails, a sophisticated rosé selection, features on “brunch-sized” bottles, elements special menus, rotating tunes from DJ Fxboxolmos, photo moments, raffles, prizes. , gifts and much more. Reservations are recommended. 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • HTX Margarita Festival at the Memorial Trail Ice House | Saturday June 8 – Patron Tequila invites margarita lovers to an afternoon and evening of sipping and fun, featuring 10 margarita stands, street tacos, frozen drinks, food trucks, a live DJ, giveaways and even more. $20 ($30 with tasting). 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • SSF Back to the future Dinner at the Fèges BBQ | Sunday June 9 – Feges’ Spring Branch outpost will host some of Houston’s favorite chefs in collaboration at the epic Back to the Future Dinner, with all proceeds benefiting the Southern Smoke Foundation and its mission to provide for the industry food and beverage emergency relief funding and access to free mental health services. Participating chefs include SSF co-founder Chris Shepherd, as well as protégés Patrick Feges, Erin Smith, Lyle Bento, Ryan Lachaine, Victoria Dearmond, JD Woodward and Chris Bednorz. In a family-friendly setting, chefs will prepare a nostalgic menu with wine and beverage selections handpicked by Matthew Pridgen. $200. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Chest 101 at RC Ranch | Thursday June 13 – Barbecue enthusiasts can get a first-hand lesson from RC Ranch’s brisket expert, who walks them through the essentials of properly smoking a brisket, from cutting and prepping to rubbing, wrapping and cooking. $100, including a pre-smoked brisket sandwich to enjoy once the class is over. 7:30 p.m.
  • Houston Pink Boots Society Beer Fest at Bad Astronaut Brewing | Saturday June 15 – Rescheduled from May, this first annual festival features a range of Pink Boots collaborations with local breweries, as well as live music, spray art demonstrations, vendors, delicious food and door prizes. It celebrates Pink Boots’ mission to provide scholarships, education and support to women and non-binary members in the fermentation and alcohol industries. $35; $20 for non-drinking tickets. From noon to 5 p.m.
  • An Unforgettable Wine Walk at the Houston Botanical Garden | Saturday June 15 Enjoy the beauty of nature and sip wine as you stroll through the Houston Botanical Garden on “A Wine Walk to Remember.” The evening will include live music, live painting and an educational experience from June 19 as well as three different wines from the Pur Noire portfolio. $45. 6 p.m.
  • Tokyo X at NRG Center | Saturday June 15 and Sunday June 16 – Houston’s largest Japanese festival, the two-day Tokyo cars, anime, cosplay, music, live shows. shows, and much more. Participating food vendors include Dumpling Haus, Cloud 10 Creamery, Royce Chocolate, Lady M Crepe, Caobao and Blk Mkt Birria, among others. Early bird tickets start at $40 for Saturday; $35 for Sunday. Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 6th Annual Montrose Center Pride Brunch and Fundraiser at Heights Social | Sunday June 23 – End Pride weekend with this fundraising brunch hosted by this chic Heights spot. Enjoy brunch from chef Cameron Caine, ambiance from DJ Chad Guidry and performances from Sinema LaRue and Lucy Paradisco. 21 years and over. $60 and up. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Dine with pride at Via313 Pizzeria | Tuesday June 25 | FREE – Closing out Pride month, this weekday dinner serves Detroit-style pizza and offers the chance to meet the Houston 365 Pride team and score freebies and discounted event tickets. Menu prices vary. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
