Rashee Rice is reportedly under investigation for punching a photographer

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been identified as the person Dallas police are investigating for a new offseason incident that allegedly occurred at a nightclub called Lit Kitchen. Specifically, Dallas authorities are reportedly investigating allegations that Rice hit a photographer at the club on Monday.

According to WFAA, a Dallas-area ABC news outlet, witnesses are currently being interviewed about the incident. It is important to note that no official charges have been filed.

Rice is already awaiting trial to determine his role in a multi-vehicle accident caused by his reckless driving earlier this offseason in Dallas. Authorities filed eight official criminal charges against him in connection with this incident, including one count of aggravated assault, six counts of collision causing bodily harm and a final count of collision causing serious bodily harm.

The NFL and the Chiefs have remained tight-lipped on everything involving Rice, other than to say they will wait for the legal process to be completed. Rice is currently not in custody and will also face civil charges for damages and injuries resulting from the accident.

Rice was selected by the Chiefs in the second round as a wide receiver out of SMU in the 2023 NFL Draft. He nearly set the Chiefs’ rookie record for most receiving yards last year with 938.
