Janesville man arrested twice for drunk driving in the same night

A 53-year-old Janesville man is arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol twice in the same night.

According to Janesville police, an officer stopped a vehicle driven by Jeffery Janecek in the 1200 block of North Ringold Street shortly after 5 p.m. Friday after a caller reported that he was jamming the road.

Janecek showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for his first violation of the driving under the influence ban and later released to a sober, responsible person.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m. that same evening, another Janesville police officer observed Janecek swerving on Milton Avenue near Mount Zion Avenue, driving 15 mph over the speed limit.

Janecek, who apparently just came out of the bar, was stopped and arrested again for drunk driving.

This time, Janecek was incarcerated in the Rock County Jail for his continued dangerous behavior.
