One dead and one arrest after fatal shooting Friday morning on Chalet Drive

BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge police have arrested a man on murder charges after he allegedly killed a man in a shooting on Chalet Drive Friday morning.

According to BRPD, the shooting occurred at 4:30 a.m. Friday morning in the 5000 block of Chalet Drive. Walter Jackson, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested Robert Mooney for premeditated murder and illegal use of weapons. The investigation is ongoing.
