The player must then go to the ammo section of the crafting menu and scroll down to the option labeled Arrow – Small Game.​​​​​​

This list of animals includes bullfrogs, chipmunks, snakes, squirrels, rats, toads, as well as a number of small birds and even the bats of Red Dead Redemption 2Any player who wants to kill a perfect specimen of these animals must equip himself with small game arrows and use them.

The perfect hides and carcasses of these animals are a prerequisite for certain trapper-exclusive garments in Red Dead Redemption 2, such as the legendary Alligator Player Hat and the Javelina Half Chaps, which require perfect snake skins.
