Here’s what the city says is the problem

HOUSTON – Residents of several Houston apartment complexes are reporting they have no water service since last Thursday’s storm.

KPRC 2 contacted Houston Public Works about the issues Friday to try to understand why these issues are occurring.

The three complexes in question are the Durham Heights Apartments on 26th Street, the Milwee Street Apartments on Milwee Street and the Timbergrove Station Apartments on Minimax Street.

Here’s what Houston Public Works said Monday about these issues.

  • Durham Heights Apartments, 720 W. 26TH Street, Houston, TX 77008 – The apartment complex is without power and knows the outage has prevented its pumps from distributing water throughout the property. Houston Water contacted the property owner today for a status update. The outage was reported to 311 on May 19, 2024.

  • Milwee Street Apartments, 5310 Milwee Street, Houston, TX, 77092 – The apartment complex is without power and knows the outage has prevented its pumps from distributing water throughout the complex. Houston Water contacted the property owner today for a status update.

  • Timbergrove Station Apartments, 2717 Minimax Street, Houston, TX 77008 – water service was restored to the complex on May 19, 2024.

Anyone experiencing a water outage can contact 311 and report it so Houston Public Works crews can investigate.
