CCTV footage released after a 30-year-old woman was violently attacked in a corner shop

Police have released a CCTV image of people officers would like to speak to following an attack in Newbury.

At around 8pm on Friday, April 26, a member of staff at the Northbrook Street store was attacked by a group.

The employee, a woman in her 30s, suffered injuries to her jaw and hand as well as broken ribs.

She was treated in hospital but has since been discharged.

Investigating officer Lucy Crewe, from Newbury police station, said: “We are carrying out an investigation and trying to identify the members of the group who carried out the attack.”

“That is why we are releasing this image of people we believe may have information about what happened.
