Dale Earnhardt Jr. blames William Byron for causing Ryan Blaney’s crash at Darlington and insists the reigning champion “has every right to be upset.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. asked William Byron to take responsibility for the Darlington crash. Last week’s NASCAR Cup Series weekend at Darlington was eventful, with several intense moments between drivers on and off the track. One of the standout moments was the collision between William Byron of Hendrick Motorsports and Ryan Blaney of Team Penske Racing, who is also the defending champion.

During the second stage of the race, Ryan Blaney was in a three-way battle for position with William Byron. Unfortunately, Byron made a bad maneuver at the start of the corner, causing Blaney to crash into the wall and damage his car, resulting in his retirement from the race. Blaney was understandably angry and expressed his frustration over the team radio.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., when discussing the incident, emphasized that the blame lay primarily with the HMS driver and stated that Blaney had every right to be angry. He encouraged Byron, who drives for Chevy, to make amends for his mistake in the future.

Despite all the chaos in the Goodyear 400, RFK Racing’s Brad Keselowski emerged victorious, securing his first win with the team and ending his 110-race winning streak. As Dale Jr. reflected on the emotional moment Keselowski shared with his daughters after the race, he admitted he understood the emotions the driver of the No. 6 Ford must be feeling.

It seems that Dale Jr. wants to experience a similar moment with his own daughters. Unfortunately, his daughters didn’t have the opportunity to see him win races in NASCAR. However, he still has a chance to accomplish this feat, be it on the CARS Tour or in one of his Xfinity Series appearances with JRM.
