Man accused of choking and raping woman with belt arrested

In a frightening video this shocked the internetIn the US program, a New Yorker is seen dragging an elderly woman with a belt around her neck between two cars in which police say he raped her. After all, the suspect is in custody and you would never guess who reported him.

Beverly Parks said The New York Post that her son, Kashaan Parks, called his wife and told her choked and raped a woman. Police believed he was referring to a horrific clip showing the 39-year-old man walking behind the woman as she strolled down a street in the Bronx around 3 a.m. on May 1.

“I am his mother who reported him. I facilitated his arrest,” Parks, 56, told The Post.

With his face masked, Kashaan appears to place a belt around the woman’s neck and choke her unconscious as he drags her between two cars where he allegedly raped her. His mother told him The post After learning what he had done, she stayed up all night convincing him to surrender to the authorities, something the public sees as something a merciless act against humanity.

Authorities said Kashaan knew the victim and she identified him by a gap in his teeth. according to Pix 11.

“He did something wrong and he has to deal with it. Period,” she told reporters. However, she also said that her son was in a traumatic state at the time of the incident.

The unemployed, married father of two has struggled with alcohol and drug problems in recent weeks since learning that his father had died in a hospital in Belize last month, according to his mother.

“He…had a one-year-old baby. It’s not like he was walking the streets committing crimes and doing this,” she said. “I demanded that my son be held accountable for his actions, whether he was drunk, taking drugs or grieving,” she added.

Kashaan, his wife and their young daughter lived in North Carolina, where they were staying with the woman’s parents, but recently moved back, Beverly Parks said.

“I said (to Kashaan), ‘I wish I had left you down there and never made that trip,'” she recalled. “He just got back from New York. That’s why it was such a shock.”

Parks eventually gave up hiding. He was escorted from his home by two NYPD detectives Saturday afternoon. He is accused of rape, strangulation, assault, sexual abuse, public indecency and harassment.

According to authorities, the victim is recovering.
