Russian forces attacked Ukraine in eight front-line areas last day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on May 11.

President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on May 10 earlier reports that Russia was conducting new offensive operations in Kharkiv Oblast, providing another area of ​​the front line for heavy fighting.

The General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled nine attacks in Kharkiv Oblast last day.

According to the report, the heaviest fighting took place in the Avdiivka area of ​​the front, where Ukrainian troops repelled 24 attacks, followed by the Bakhmut sector, where Ukrainian troops repelled 18 attacks.

According to the General Staff report, as of May 10, there were 104 combat operations along the entire front line.

More than 120 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts came under artillery fire and Russia launched 108 air strikes, the General Staff said.
