Hancock Police Investigate Possible Politically Motivated Attack and Property Damage

An elderly man was hospitalized after an incident that appears to be politically motivated. Hancock police are investigating three incidents that appear to be politically motivated. On Sunday, Hancock police responded to three incidents, two of which involved property damage.

At 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Hancock Police were called to the 1600 block of Anthony Street in search of an 80-year-old man who was struck by an ATV rider while he was putting up a political sign in his yard. The man was taken to UPHS-Portage for injuries sustained in the incident and remains in critical condition.

Hancock police believe the ATV driver was also involved in the damage to two vehicles. The suspect appears to be targeting Trump supporters and police.
