Police respond to bomb threats against two Naugatuck businesses – NBC Connecticut

Naugatuck police responded to bomb threats outside two businesses this afternoon.

According to police, the first bomb threat was made to an employee at the Walmart on New Haven Avenue.

The Walmart was evacuated and a Connecticut State Police bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene.

A short time later, a bomb threat was made against an employee at the Stop & Shop on Rubber Avenue, police said.

The Stop & Shop was also evacuated and the bomb disposal service is on site.

Police are asking the public to avoid both areas during the investigation.
