Hartford government building to close Monday for investigation into security breach – NBC Connecticut

Authorities are investigating a security breach at a government building in downtown Hartford that houses the offices of several state agencies and officials.

State police said a security alarm went off at the State Office Building at 165 Capitol Ave. shortly before 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

The State Office Building houses, among others, the offices of the Attorney General, the Secretary of State and the Secretary of the Treasury of Connecticut.

The Connecticut Department of Administrative Services later announced on X that the building would remain closed Monday “due to an incident that has impacted building systems.”

State police said the investigation was still in its “early stages.”

Further information about the incident was not initially available.
