Mass shooting in New York: One dead and six injured in shooting in Rochester Park

According to reports in the New York Post, one person was killed and six others were injured, one of them critically, when a shooting broke out in a Rochester park on Sunday evening.

The shots were fired around 6:20 p.m. Authorities said five people with minor injuries were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

A heavy volley of gunfire broke up a large gathering of people in the park, causing the crowd to disperse in panic, the report said. No information on casualties or shootings has been released yet.

“At this point, we don’t know how many people shot. We’re trying to find out. We’re trying to interview as many witnesses as possible,” Rochester Police Captain Greg Bello said, according to ^ “New York Post: The New York Post”.

Shooting in Milwaukee Park

A 17-year-old girl was killed last week and eight other teenagers were injured in a shooting at a Milwaukee park where dozens of young people had gathered for a party, police said.

Officers and rescue workers found the dead girl and eight other shooting victims in Dineen Park on the city’s west side after police received at least one 911 call around 12:30 a.m., the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police said five 18-year-old women, two 18-year-old men and a 15-year-old boy were found shot and were being treated at local hospitals. One of the men was in critical condition and the other seven survivors were in stable condition.

A ninth person, a young woman, suffered trampled injuries (non-life-threatening injuries) in the shooting, the sheriff’s office said.
