Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick has pleaded not guilty to assault and resisting arrest following an incident at the $1.3 million New Jersey mansion she shares with fiancé Vinny Tortorella.

The television star, then 37, was arrested at 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, following a visit from Freehold Township police, DailyMail.com can report after attending a virtual court hearing on Tuesday, July 23.

Pivarnick was present at the virtual hearing held by Freehold Township Municipal Court and was accompanied by her attorney, James Leonard, who also represents “Real Housewives Of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice.

Tortorella also appeared briefly in the Zoom hearing via a separate device, but then left the meeting.

She is accused of “simple assault, damage to property, obstruction of justice and resistance to state authority,” a district official said during the virtual hearing.

Judge Nicole Sonnenblick, who presided over the hearing, entered the courtroom at around 2:10 p.m.

The “Jersey Shore” star and her attorney James Leonard discussed postponing the hearing in favor of an in-person hearing to be held in late August.

Both Judge Sonnenblick and Pivarnick’s attorney agreed that police officers do not need to be present at the upcoming hearing.

Details of the alleged altercation are not known as the complaint is still the subject of police investigations.

Pivarnick was never sent to prison, but was released on summons and fined.

Pivarnick’s attorney, James Leonard, claimed it was a “very minor” incident that was “exacerbated” by an adverse reaction to prescription medication.

“This is nothing more than a very minor incident that was made worse by a side effect of an over-the-counter medication,” he said.

“We look forward to resolving this matter in our favor and putting it behind us. Angelina is resting at home and has no further comment at this time.”

Pivarnick snapped up the four-bedroom, five-bathroom Freehold property in October 2021 after divorcing Chris Larangeira in January 2021.

She began dating Tortorella in 2022 after they met through social media. The couple got engaged in 2023.

Their proposal was documented in an April 2023 episode of MTV’s “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” a reboot of the hit reality series “Jersey Shore,” which first aired in 2018.

Months later, Page Six reported that Angelina called the police after an alleged altercation at Vinny’s house.

The publication obtained a police report showing that Angelina called 911 following an alleged incident of domestic violence in August.

However, when police arrived at the scene, the reality star refused to press charges against Tortorella.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from Page Six revealed that a “criminal investigation report” was prepared in light of the alleged altercation.

Pivarnick’s lawyer told the newspaper at the time: “I can confirm that Angelina did indeed call the police to her home. After speaking with the officers, Angelina decided not to press charges.”

“This matter is now closed. Angelina will request privacy in the future as it concerns her private life,” he added.

Tortorella’s lawyer Elizabeth Rozin-Golinder also told the publication that the couple’s relationship status had not changed as they were still engaged.

“My client and Ms. Pivarnick are still engaged and still live together,” she said. “Mr. Tortorella denies any wrongdoing that would warrant police intervention and denies that any domestic violence occurred.”

“Neither Ms. Pivarnick nor law enforcement have filed charges against my client. I ask that his privacy be respected in this regard,” she said.

Pivarnick starred in the MTV hit “Jersey Shore” and can currently be seen in the reboot “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.” She is pictured with her co-stars in 2018.

A source told Page Six that despite the incident, the couple are “still very much in love” and the engagement has not been broken off.

They were busy filming the seventh season of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” which premiered in February 2024 and aired its season finale in May.

In an interview with Life & Style in December, Angelina admitted that she and her future husband “fought a lot” and that he didn’t give her the emotional support she needed when her beloved dog became ill.

“I’m not a mother of human children. But I want human babies. But I’m not going to have one with someone who’s always arguing with me about nonsense,” she said.
