“Suspend Jeepney modernization program”

Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino supported Senate President Francis Escudero’s recommendation to suspend the jeepney modernization program through a Senate resolution.

“I fully support the motion of Senate President Chiz Escudero and the complementary motion of Senator JV Ejercito… I think it now looks like this is a crisis created by bureaucracy seeking a bureaucratic solution,” Tolentino said during the Public Services Committee hearing on Tuesday.
