Colorado Governor Jared Polis ordered the state’s flags to fly at half-staff on Tuesday in memory of the former fire chief who was killed in an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania while protecting his family.

Corey Comperatore, 50, was killed when he jumped out from gunfire in front of his family in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday. Trump was shot in the ear and two other people were seriously injured before the Secret Service killed the gunman.
