Investigations into burglary and credit card theft are ongoing

According to recently filed court documents obtained by The Signal, an investigation is ongoing after two Castaic women’s cars were broken into and their personal belongings stolen in Lakehills Estates in March.

The victims said their debit cards, credit cards and checks were stolen from their cars at the trailer park on March 26. They also said their debit cards were simultaneously used without their authorization at a Chevron gas station in Gorman.

A victim reported to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives that her debit card was charged three times for $203.50 each. She also said a Wells Fargo check stolen from her car was deposited into a Chase bank account using a mobile app.

Officials at the SCV sheriff’s station conducted a search in May but were not available Friday to discuss whether a case has been filed or charges have been filed at the time of publication of this story.
