Can the Aaron Rodgers-led Jets end the Buffalo Bills’ dominance in the AFC East?

There is a chance that this could happen, but New York Jets fans shouldn’t bet on it.

In a prediction that is sure to raise eyebrows among Jets faithful, Launderer’s ReportGary Davenport suggested that Gang Green would fail in its bid to dethrone the four-time defending AFC East division champion Buffalo Bills.

BR’s article offered answers to eight of the “biggest questions teams face in the 2024 NFL season.” The author questioned the Kansas City Chiefs’ ability to “complete a three-peat” as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ chances of making the playoffs with quarterback Russell Wilson at the helm.

“…Does a healthy Rodgers make the Jets better? Yes. A playoff contender? Yes. But Josh Allen and the Bills are still the team to beat in the AFC East. Who’s in the running for a fifth straight title?”

Even without Aaron Rodgers, the Jets have beaten the Bills twice in the last two seasons. New York’s top-four defense has held up well against Josh Allen and company, making the Jets arguably the biggest threat to Buffalo’s AFC East dominance.

The Jets, who haven’t posted a winning record since 2015, are aiming to end a 13-year playoff drought in a highly competitive AFC.

New York and Buffalo will meet head-to-head in Weeks 6 and 17. First, the Jets will host the Bills on Monday Night Football on Oct. 14 at MetLife Stadium. Gang Green is scheduled to visit Buffalo on Dec. 29.
