Man dies after accident in Clermont County – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

WILLIAMSBURG TWP, Ohio – A man is dead after a crash in Williamsburg Township, Clermont County.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on July 8, troopers from the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were dispatched to Bootjack Corner Road in Williamsburg Township for a report of an accident.

According to the preliminary investigation, 49-year-old Christopher Riley Sr. of Goshen was driving a Dodge Charger southeast on Bootjack Corner Road.

He failed to negotiate a curve, veered off the right side of the road and crashed into a power pole.

The car then rolled over several times before finally coming to a stop.

Riley was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene of the accident. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
